I have discovered some new products that I am in love with!
Halo Powder by Smashbox Cosmetics: This is a hydrating powder! It helps soften fine lines and even treats the skin with 48 minerals and 11 amino acids. I love setting my foundation with it or buffing it on as a light weight foundation.
Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap Shea Butter Wash: This is a product for people who have any kind of skin issues like acne, eczema, oily skin, etc. It is loaded with vitamin E and aloe to sooth the skin. It smells amazing!! There is a body lotion as well that is wonderful. They have many different products I highly recommend.
So, I am on this journey to find cosmetics that aren't full of all kinds of junk. I just want to put makeup and body stuff on knowing that I am not absorbing a ton of crap with it. I will update you all on all the goodies I find along the way. I will be doing the same with my food.

Bronzer
Why should everyone use bronzer? Well, it warms up the skin, contours the face so we look slimmer, and makes us look like we just got back from a trip to the beach! Some tips when using a bronzer:
1. Choose a color that is 1 to 3 times darker than your natural shade
if you are fair try one that is more neutral not so orange/red in tone
2. Do not put bronzer all over your face! When using. imagine you are drawing a 3 on the outside of the face. Start at the temples, then bring down underneath cheekbones, then under jaw line. This is where you are contouring. Blend down onto decollete as well for a nice even color so there is no lines. Everything should blend together.
3. Do bronzer before your cheek color. Cheek color should start at the apple of the cheek and blend back into the bronzer.
4. Brushes are key! Use a brush specifically for bronzer. They are shaped to place it just the way it should go.
Products I love:
Laura Mercier Warm Bronze Mineral Powder
Lorac Tantilizer
Trish McEvoy any of her bronzers!
Nars Duo with Orgasm cheek color and bronzer

Dry Winter Skin
This is just a quick blog today! I just want to stress the importance of hydrating from the inside out. If your skin gets dry in the winter months, it is really crutial to drink lots of water. We know we should be doing that anyway but, it is one way to keep skin healthy. The less dry your skin is the less aged it looks. That doesn't mean skimp on moisturizer either.

Been Awhile
Wow! It's been a long time since I have been on here. I plan on being on here daily or at minimum weekly. I have been through a lot of changes and now I have ventured out on my own in the makeup world. Weddings will be my main focus. So, I thought it would be fun to share wedding makeup tips. Therefore, my tip today is: If you are doing your own makeup for your wedding it is very important not to use SPF in your foundation! The flash will make your face look white because SPF reflects the light away. So, ladies if you have had this happen in any of your pics now you know why. Choose a foundation that has no SPF they are usually designed for pictures.
